Well, if you are a diehard knitter who has more advanced skills than I do, perhaps you aren’t crazy. But for me, I added something to my queue on Ravelry…and in reality…as something that I wanted to do. It’s the first time I actually bought a pattern for something that didn’t come out of a […]

Hello Knitsters!
It’s been a while since any of us posted, but let’s face it– spring is upon us. And does that mean we stop knitting? Of course not! Heck, in fact, we might be knitting maniacs right now, too busy to write. (Yeah, and it could be that we are just plain busy too!)
Well, you […]

You know that sweater that my son asked for, the one that was supposed to have flames on it? The sweater from hell? (Well, he wanted Hot Wheels flames, he knows nothing of hell.) Or at least hell to me? I finally broke down and frogged it, and I’m making a plain red sweater for […]

I don’t know about anyone else, but these days, with the holidays and everything else going on, I’m finding it hard to make some time for knitting. One way I’ve been squeezing it in is by bringing a project with me while Drew is at TKD. It gives me something to do and distract me […]

I think I can speak for all the Knitsters here that we’re all still around, but just each have very busy summers! And we’re all working on bits and pieces of different projects, but as any good knitter knows, some projects take longer than others.

Well, I was getting bored with the shrug/shawl thing that I was making, and realized after my parents’ visit that with my dad’s birthday in May, I haven’t knit him anything yet since I starting this adventure called knitting. So, I tried to think of something that would be significant, something that he could wear […]

Check it out, I’m actually going to show proof of my WIPs.
*shock*
First, let me show you what else I’m doing with fiber - needle felting!
This is my very first bit of needle felting, made from hand-dyed wool roving from The Flying Ewe. If you want to see the rest of what I’ve been making, I […]

It’s slow going on the aran, as I keep having problems with tennis elbow. But at least I don’t have to look at the pattern instructions every row anymore. And we’re up to row 64, which is about a foot of sweater.

Mental note: don’t drop stitches on the Tw2L column. I managed to fix it, but it was weird, to say nothing of the count being off for the irish moss stitch on the rightmost panel (this pic is of the left side) and having to go back and fix all of that as well.
On the […]

Well, my fiber interests took a bigger role in my weekend that it has in more recently passed weekends. It started out with me travelling down to Mt. Holly to Woolbearers to pick up the Howard Brush student carders that I ordered, and the additional skeins of Cascade 220 that I needed for the sweater […]
