A little funny story
Related to MDSW, I was talking to my son last night, explaining where I was going over the weekend while he had a “Boys’ Weekend” with his dad. He understood that it was like a “Girls/Mommies’ Weekend/Sleepover”. I explained a bit about what the festival was about, and he made the connection with the sheep and wool once I explained it to him. With mentioning that there were going to be real sheep there, he said he wanted me to get him a real one. I told him that we couldn’t have one because of Mommy’s allergies, and besides, he’d have to take care of it. He’d have to feed it, and play with it, and pick up its poop. He said no, he didn’t want to pick up the poop, but Mom could do it for him. I said no way, I’m not taking care of it and picking up the poop, especially if it’s his pet. He sighed, and said, “But Mom, all you need is a tissue, then you can pick it up!”, as if that would solve the problem, and he could get his sheep. I couldn’t help but laugh, and said that he could do that, or else I could see if I could find a little stuffed animal sheep or a sheepskin for him to have, and he agreed to that.
I just thought the part about the sheep dip was funny. Can you imagine me with a sheep? Where would I keep it? I don’t have anywhere for that! And again, I don’t think a sheep and a chlorinated swimming pool in the backyard are a good combo, although I’m sure we’d save some money on getting the lawn mowed. (Hey JC! You can take that lawn mower back!) LOL
So, I have to remember to bring something back for my baby. ![]()
