Knitting withdrawal and need a fix
Hello all!
Welcome to 2007 on Knitster.org!
I was a busy little knitter up through the holidays. I had made the Voodoo fingerless mittens for my boss and for my brother, as well as a matching wool cap for my brother. He was very happy with it, and appreciated the idea of the fingerless gloves for walking his dog, especially since it doesn’t get quite as cold in Durham, NC as it does in Princeton, NJ in the winter.
My boss liked hers too, and told me after she got them that she might wear them to the Giants football game she got to attend on Xmas Eve.
Since then, I have been very busy moving. We literally started doing all the big moving the day after Christmas, and every single day since, pretty much, there has been moving and cleaning being done. So no time to do any knitting.
Today was the first day that I was actually home at 11 AM to be able to catch Knitty Gritty since it started on HGTV (thank goodness I can finally watch it!) I had taped a few episodes a while ago, but haven’t seen what’s on tape, let alone can find the blank videotapes and tape more episodes! (Someday I’ll buy DVDs of whole seasons, like you do with some series on TV!) But today, I’m glad I caught an episode. I’ve been dying to get to some knitting, and just literally haven’t had the time. Well, today’s episode was about lace, and it was a great intro to the subject, and took some of the stigma out of that. Maybe if I can find a really good lace pattern, I might try it. But while watching, I picked up an easy project that’s just a seed stitch thing that will cover a pillow when I’m done. Oh, it felt so good to be doing that again! I will have to make time, and come up with another big project to do soon. But what? I will have to think about it….
Happy knitting in 2007 everyone! ![]()
