scarf-o-rama

zOMG I’ve turned into a scarf-knitting fool for christmas. tonight i got the notion to knit one for my supervisor, and I’m about 2/3 done, and I wanted to give it to her tomorrow. Oh well, she’ll get it when she gets back from break. First time knitting something on a bias–in moonlight mohair, rainforest–nice jewel tones with a touch of sparkle.

Also made a fun fur boa-ish thing for the stepD.  Still plugging away slowly on the aran. I’ve realized doing short, small, fun projects amid the large, interesting, challenging ones is better for my tendons and for my feeling of knit-fun.

Also, I’m sleepy. I guess since it’s almost two in the morning I’m allowed to be. Been a rough week. That’ll learn me. yay for knitting being so very zen.

  1. Knitting is the Zen for me these days, even when it is projects that need to be done! I’ve found too, that unless I have a crazy deadline to get something big done, taking a break and doing the smaller projects, like you’ve done, do make a difference. After doing that sweater for JC for so long, to make 2 pairs of knucks and a hat seemed great!
