I have pieces of a sweater

The homespun hoodie i started on two years ago? Knitted, finally. Thing is, in the meantime, I’ve lost my fourth skein of yarn, and so I can’t knit the hood, and I don’t think I have enough yarn to tidily polish up the neck. So I’m going to see if I can still get homespun in [prairie]– bracketed because I *Think* that’s what it is.

All that’s left to do is pick up the stitches for the hood and do the finishing and seaming. I’m tempted to go ahead and do the seaming, because the neck is already put together (3-needle cast off–now that was interesting). Then, if i can find the yarn, I can add the hood later.

I don’t really expect it to fit anyhow. When I started knitting this, it was before the surgery that caused me to gain a lot of weight. I knitted some extra into the arms so it will at least fit there, but I suspect it’s going to be fairly snug across my much-more-ample bosom.

omg, i have a bosom?!

the new interface is annoying me. fortunately, you can turn off the rich text editor in the options, if you prefer.

and meh, i still need to make the front-end pretty. it looks like hell. sorry, gang.

  1. the other thing to be aware of is that sweater is going to be HOT. really hot. acrylic traps heat like nobody’s business.

but yay! i need to get cracking on one of my cardigans, after i finish my socks.
