the aforementioned sari silk bag is almost done. if i never knit with it again i would be happy.

but…..i have the next project ready to go- the eyelet cami from ik summer 06. black hemp yarn- a good sub for the euroflax linen which has about doubled in price- almost 19 a hank- in the last 8 months. the hemp is much softer initially than the linen, so i am really looking forward to using it. hopefully, there won’t be the slpit issues with the hemp that i had with the linen skirt.

i also have several cardigans to get back to- before we know it fall in mn will be upon us. i also want to knit bird cage covers for the feathered family members- serendipity the teil and verdita the quaker. she is new to us as of monday, and right now is cooing over peanut butter on whole grain bread. expect bird and knitting pics from me- i could do the cats, but the birds are so much more fun……

and- my new wheel is here. she is all finished and already broken in- i have pygora going right now. the switch to a double drive has been interesting, it is definitely more fiddly than the scotch tension of the lendrum, but still a fun wheel to use. that, and it is sturdy, so it withstands kids running around and all that. the only issue has been a cat wanting to sit under the treadles, but she learned quickly.
