KNITSTER

So yeah. I said I’d update and I haven’t, therefore I am a slacker. However, I actually have some knitting to talk about, so this is a good time to break the silence! *waves hi to everyone*

I’m still a relatively inexperienced knitter, despite having taken up knitting more than a year ago. I have a few completed projects, but only one of them has really pleased me, the kitty blanket I made for Squeegee. It was horribly thick yarn, but it felt really nice to knit with, especially on bamboo needles. [when I started knitting I was really into texture]

The WIP I’m working on now is also in red yarn! I’m making a very simple shawl now, a basic garter stitch with a yo edging. I got the idea from knittinggeek.com.
The yarn I’m using probably wasn’t the best choice for touching on hot summer days - Paton’s Divine in the Regal Red colourway. Because of that bit of mohair, it sheds all over me. However, the shawl will be light and fluffy when finished and perfect for cooler evenings in late summer. I’ll get pics of it up later today. Right now it looks a bit like a long fuzzy tongue.
