I’m Dying to do it!
Still working on the baby blanket. My sister’s shower was this past weekend, and I told her I had another gift for her but it wasn’t finished, and she was fine with that. Turns out my other sister is knitting something for our nephew to be too, so at least I was in good company. I’m taking a break by knitting another set of socks using the Knit Picks Dancing yarn I got a while ago, thinking that it was the same thickness as the Moda Dea Sassy Stripes (it’s not, it’s thinner sock yarn), so I figured that everyone in this house is probably going to end up with a pair of the same colored socks, that’s how much of it I have. So, I’m working on the 1st sock for Drew as a bring-along break for now. Gotta get back on the baby blanket though. I just want it to be done!
In the meantime, Memorial Day Weekend is coming up this weekend. I really want to just relax, as it’s been a busy month so far, and June is gearing up to be busy as well. I’d like to be doing some spinning again, maybe I can talk JC into letting me go to one of the two spinning shops here in NJ one of those days this weekend, and I’ve decided, unknown to him, that I am going to try to do a Kool Aid dye job on some wool this weekend. I think that would be a fun project to do with Drew, don’t you think? At least it’s non-toxic, and he’ll have fun with that. Gives me something creative to do other than knitting. I’m not knocking knitting at all, but I’ve been wanting to explore more fiber arts stuff, and here’s a weekend that maybe I can do it. Wish me luck!
