New Micro-Secret Pal Exchange!
There is a lovely group in the greater Pittsburgh area that is arranging a Secret Pal exchange rather than go through the “traditional” one. I got semi-burned with SP6, although I made friends with Cheryl through it, thus with this group. My pal Yvonne is the moderator for this one, and she ran a successful Pampered Pal one a few months ago, so I totally trust in her abilities. Here are the details if you are interested in participating, as I’m thinking there might be a few other knitters/spinners here who might be interested:
Small-Scale Secret Pal Questions Answered
Jane and I have been batting around the idea of another Pittsburgh SP. However, I know a few friends who are interested in being in a small-scale SP but aren’t local to Pittsburgh…and I have a feeling there might be others in this little circle who’d also like to participate but aren’t in the area, either. (I know Jane hosted the last one…I told her I would be happy to host this one so she can participate).
If you are interested in joining a small-scale Secret Pal exchange, please leave a comment or drop me a line. I know many of you are or may be participating in SP8, so please don’t feel obligated to sign up for both!
A couple of you have asked for more details on the small-scale SP exchange. Here’s what I’m thinking:
$30 over 2 months…so $15 a month, not including postage. Obviously it would be knitting pals, so yarn would be a good item to share, but it doesn’t have to be limited to yarn — can be books, candles, sweets, anything.
We can start at the beginning of June and run it through until the beginning of August.
I have about 8 participating so far…obviously, spread the word to your friends! As I mentioned, although Jane’s SP was local to the Pittsburgh area, I’m extending the boundaries a little bit so friends can participate!
