Little Red Sweater
Originally, my father-in-law and a business partner were supposed to come visit this weekend. They bailed out, and have since rescheduled to come in about a week or so. Before they bailed, it occurred to me that I’ve always promised that I was going to make a cardigan sweater for my cousin/niece, Amelia, who is Drew’s age (she’s a Villegas). So, I bought some Debbie Blish Cashmerino Superchunky in this beautiful tomato red, and got some olive green for the edging, and it’s looking rather smashing. I still have to finish it up, but it’s looking good. The main pieces are done, and last night I sewed the front pieces to the back at the shoulders, and knitted up the collar. So, I just have to knit up the buttonbands and sew on the sleeves and up the side and it will be done! When it is done, I will have to see how much time I have, as I might make a little tam hat to go with it, and/or some socks, as I have some DB baby Cashmerino in the same color. That would be just too cute to be that matchy-matchy, but hey! Why not? Photos are forthcoming, so be on the lookout.
(Boy, I am really avoiding that yellow baby blanket like the plague, aren’t I?)
