Tubey arm 1 done!
Well, I’ve discovered new things that are difficult:
1. purling in the round. No wonder people think they don’t like learning how to purl. I felt like I had to do so all over again.
2. Picking up stitches from a provisional cast on. I finally got them on the needles and found that half of them were backwards, so I diligently went round the whole thing without knitting to straighten them out. Now I find that they are all backwards. Teh suq.
3. Binding off dpns. The corners are tough, esp. when the previous row was purled. The hat I did was a bottom up, so didn’t figure in.
The sleeve may come out a little short, but I used up a ball at that point so I figured it was just destined to be there. I’ll be doing the other sleeve during my retreat this weekend.
Dani, your pictures look awesome!!
And Pasha, just say the word if you’d like to join us, even though I know you have a knitting blog already.

Thanks! I guess having an orange microsuede IKEA chair comes in handy sometimes! It makes the colors of the sock pop! It’s not nearly quite as brilliant as that, but I’ll take it. I had to frog the whole second sock I had started, but I think I had to do that the last time with the first sock. I hope to finish the pair by the end of the weekend!
