In making my latest project, which is just a simple seed stitch scarf in the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn in Eggplant for my friend Lynn, I realized that 2 skeins of this would probably not be enough. So, I went down to Glenmarle on my way back from one of the malls to see if they had some more. I went to the same spot in the store, and YIKES! It’s gone! Oh no! But alas, there was a basket of DBBC on the table in the back of the store, so I looked through, and there were 2 skeins left that were of the same dye lot. Talk about your lucky break! I bought them both, and that should hopefully be enough. There were several skeins of the same color in a different dye lot, and they were pretty close, but I was smart enough to notice the dye lot last night, and get 2 more today. I mean, Lynn bought the original skeins 2 weeks ago! The other two could’ve easily been gone by now. But nope, so I can continue with her scarf, knowing that I’ll be able to make it a decent length now. Hooray!
