It’s Bliss!
I have been given an assignment of sorts to do with knitting. My good friend Lynn asked if I would make a new scarf for her if she paid for the yarn, and I agreed to it. I took her to Glenmarle Woolworks to choose a yarn (might as well get the good stuff). We went through the whole store, and she’s like me, she wants something that won’t itch too much. She ultimately chose a Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino yarn in a very pretty purple. It’s not violet or eggplant, but not quite periwinkle or indigo either. Just gorgeous, and it’ll go really well with her coat. The yarn feels blissful (how appropriate!) and it’s actually the first time I’ll be using a Debbie Bliss yarn. I started the scarf, and it’s just going to be a simple seed stitch yarn (she chose the pattern). I started it, and was doing well with it– she likes the stitch– but then I goofed up in a section and will have to frog back a few rows to fix it. Oh well.
I still need to finish up the last bag and bear for the kids, but this’ll be a great change of pace, and worth the effort. To have a request for an item is great!
