I received some belated birthday presents from my family, since I was away in CA last week on the big day. My one sister got me two knitting books, “Nursery Knits” by Zoe Mellor and “Mindful Knitting” by Tara Jon Manning, both on my wish list. But the piece de resistance was that my parents got me a $75 gift certificate at Glenmarle Woolworks nearby. WOO HOO! You can’t beat that! My mother’s only stipulation was that I had to spend it on stuff for myself, so if I bought some really nice yarn, it had to be something that I would make for myself and not someone else. I think I can do that.
