KNITSTER

Well, I knew it would happen, and it has. My current project now has a deadline of September 12th. Why that date? That’s the day of the baby shower for the baby I’m knitting for right now. I think I’ll make it somehow. I started making a baby dress. Goofed it up a little, as usual, because I thought I gauged right and it’s not working that way (can’t make the stitches any tighter!), but I think I’m doing a decent “save” on it. I ran out of yarn for it while on my flight to CA, and of course, the additional yarn was in the mailbox at home waiting for me. Figures! But at the rate I’m going, I think I’ll be able to finish it pretty quickly, which will allow me to finish the baby sweater I wanted to make to go with it, which I did start in CA. I’m so pathetic– I actually have photographic proof of me bringing my knitting into the conference I was at and doing it while waiting for stuff to start! So now I have a month to hustle in making this little ensemble for a yet unborn little girl named Penelope. Someday I’ll be able to be more leisurely about this!
