Feeling social

i have finally found a knitting group that is close to me! most of the SnB type things I was finding were all in DC, and the one that meets close to my office doesn’t actually meet til 6:45 p.m., which puts me hanging around work an extra hour and a half.

Turns out Northern Virginia KnitKnutz (link when I have it all in one place) meets at the Fairfax County Govt. Center, which is within walking distance of my digs. They also meet in Reston, which may dovetail nicely with some of the churchy things I’ve been doing up there.

  1. Good for you! That’s a great way to gain a new social circle. There are a few groups in Princeton through the LYSs, and one in Hamilton that my knitting instructor started, but the times are awkward with my schedule. I was trying to convince my sister to join me in one in Pton, but her schedule, like mine, is kinda crazy. Someday! Besides, I’m a little shy!

  2. Just wanted to let you know that KnitKnutz is no longer meeting at the Fairfax location - lack of interest/attendence.

We are meeting at the Reston police station on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, from 1 - 5 - and I’d love for you to join us!

    Happy knitting!
