SnB book sale!
Went to the local B&N bookstore to pick up a copy of Baby Knits for Beginners by Debbie Bliss. Had looked at it yesterday, and decided that I wanted it enough for the patterns to have more variety to choose from baby patterns. Anyhow, went down to the Hamilton Marketplace one, as I wanted to get the schedule for the Michael’s down that way too, and lo and behold, a book sale! More specifically, a Stitch N Bitch one! The promotion is that if you buy one SnB book, you get the 2nd one for half off. Well, I already had the first volume, so I bought SnB Nation and the new journal, as it’s mostly filled with good “on the fly” info and graph paper (and directions how to use it for designing). It’s not your traditional knitting journal. (And I already have the Yarn Girls one, which I have to update at some point.) Anyhow, scored big when the cashier charged me half off the higher priced one instead of the lower priced item, and let me know. I was very appreciative. What made the whole purchase, including the Bliss book, even sweeter was that I had a gift card for $30, so for all three books and with the gift card and promo discount, I only paid about $10! Sweet-cool!

I already have both. My latest thing is to check out books from the library and then wishlist them on amazon if i like them. I may well put that wishlist onto my info page here, actually, now that you mention it.
Man, I wish I had as progressive a library as you. When I went to my local library, they had books that were older than me, and looked horribly boring! If I could borrow cool knitting books, I would!
