Frogged it…again!

I tell ‘ya, this baby bunting I’m working on for Drew’s teacher is taking a lot longer than I expected, and I really want to get it done quickly. Last night, I don’t know what happened– I got bumped, wasn’t paying attention, picked up the needles the wrong way– whatever. I ended up with a hole (but couldn’t find that I did a YO) and it was messed up. I tried to frog back to the problem, and that just made it worse. So, I just tore the whole thing apart (I wasn’t that far along, but enough) and started over. I have this goal to finish this bunting by the end of the month, so this was a big setback. I have a lot to do to catch up! Grrrr.

I am also very pathetic when it comes to being a new knitting junkie. My birthday is about a month from now, and my brother asked what I wanted for my birthday. I pointed him to a pair of mini speakers for my Zen Micro (my “iPod”), or towards my Amazon list for knitting books, or a gift certificate to Michaels, or going to a local LYS where he lives, and picking out some skeins of yarn in his budget. See? I told you I was pathetic!

I’m also like the LJ Knitting community. See like a nice bunch of people. I like the ideas and the general cameraderie there. Learning a bit too about knitting mentality and ideas. It’s a good mix of new knitters like me, and experienced knitters/spinners/dyers too. Sweet-cool, as my son would say.

  1. feel free to post that community to “hangouts” under the links section. I’m in punk knitters and advanced knitters, and I do a couple of yahoogroups, too — knittingnovices and knitting, I think? not sure. time to tune into them again as I am between projects and looking for new ideas!
