The new issue of FC Easy Knitting is here!
I can’t believe that I’m excited about a knitting magazine, no less something from Family Circle. But I liked the summer issue I had gotten of Family Circle Easy Knitting, and by chance, while going to the supermarket to pick up some milk and some dishwasher pacs, I decided to go see if there were any knitting mags in the magazine racks. Lo and behold, there were two, one of them being this one. The cover looks a little more in line with the look of other knitting mags, whereas the last issue looked like, well, a Family Circle mag. I’m paging through it now, and it just looks cool. Who’d ever known that I’d get this excited that a new issue of a magazine was out!
So, go get your copy of FC Easy Knitting, Fall 2005. Hooray!

I get the impression that the FC kntting editorial folks are a lot hipper than we give the FC brand name credit for–and i’ve seen other reviews saying something similar. makes me seriously think there is hope for family oriented women’s magazines, and with any luck, someday I’ll be editor in chief of one of them and directing it right at our generation and those of our kids and grandkids.
what a thought. heh. I finished my bag, too, and I love it! aside from not paying attention and making the strap so long that it hangs to my knees, but that’s an easy fix via grafting, I think.
Great! I’ll look forward to seeing any photos posted if you get around to it. I still have to post the photos of the ponchos, I think. Still working on the baby bunting, and figured out that I didn’t gauge my yarn correctly and it’s now too wide. Don’t have time to frog back or start over, so I’m contemplating making the front piece a little thinner and somehow compensating that way. I can’t imagine that the baby that Drew’s teacher is having would be extra wide! (She’s tiny!)
