The Triple Threat is Done!
All three toddler ponchos are done now. Of course, I have to remember how to post the photo now, but at least they are done on time! I still have to find a regular sewing needle so that I can sew my little “Made By” labels that I bought into them. I’ll probably do that in the morning. The party is tomorrow, so at least they are done even if I don’t get the labels sewn in. In the end, I put tassles at each corner of each poncho (for a total of 12 tassles made for this, and all last night!). I really hope that the effort that I put into these ponchos over the last month will be appreciated. And if I didn’t mention it before, it’s actually pretty simple to make just the one– with a little time and little interference, I completed one in a week, so having a month to get these done proved to be just right, due to various circumstances. All each one consisted of was two panels done about 15 X 18.5″, strictly in garter stitch. Then, you align them like an “L”. sew that line, and then attach the opposite corners to form the square shape. Making the tassles was easy too– a lot easier than trying to learn how to do single crochet in a night and do all three ponchos with that along the edges! I’ll use the fun fur for something else or just trade it in for something.
