Wouldn’t you know…

Turns out the bag I’m working on had a correction–remember how I was saying that I was knitting the wrong multiple? It _was_ a messed up pattern!

Accord Publishing - Knitting Corrections

Glad I figured it out. But the neato thing is that the publishing company published the whole pattern, corrected, to their Web site! It’s the May 9 pattern, The Laurel Summer Shoulder Bag, courtesy of The Schaefer Yarn Company. This has been a great introduction to using increases, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, and using textures… and that’s just so far. This page also shows some other patterns that need corrections, so if anyone got this calendar, here they are, and if you didn’t, it’s a neat sneak peek to see what’s on there. I am beginning to think I may try my hand at designing before the year is out. DH wants a bag large enough to sling a djembe over his shoulder.

At any rate, I’m saving a copy of this PDF for my reference. I keep printed copies of patterns in a protective sleeve within a notebook, but this one is already pretty dog-eared, and it’s good to have a backup.
