Buyer Beware
Got the yarn from Herrschners today. What a disappointment! First, I got the impression that these were big skeins, not the little ones. The other thing was that two “prints” of the four weren’t even the colors that were online! Two of them were color accurate to what was posted, but the other two were much more on the purple and green side than how it was displayed online. Now, I happen to know that my screen is pretty accurate for color, so I think of it as slightly false advertising. One of them I thought was more shades of blue and periwinkle, and it was downright purple and grape colored! Problem is, I can return them since they were a clearance item. They aren’t that ugly, just not what I thought they were. So, I guess I’ll figure out some project to use them on at some point. One of the shades that turned out extra purple was one that I got the most skeins of. Maybe when all my other projects are done, I’ll make something for my “niece” (JC’s cousin’s daughter), since it’s a pale enough purple for a little girl to like. Don’t know what to make, but I’ll figure it out in time.
On a positive note, however, I secured the Yarn Girls’ Journal and Kids Knits Note cards for a mere $9.76, which includes the shipping on eBay! I’m psyched about that, considering the Journal alone is worth something closer to $15. All right!
