Making more projects for myself
I don’t know why I’ve decided to do things this way, but not only did I decide that I have to make something for Drew’s teacher when she leaves, but I just decided for sure today that I have to make 3 toddler ponchos for the triplets (Katerina, Jacqueline and Vienna) for their birthday which is a month away. Add to that that I decided to make a poncho for my mother for her birthday. The baby bunting and Mom’s poncho are not due until early August, but the ponchos have to be done much sooner. And I’m in the middle of doing my own cardigan hoodie sweater. I’m almost done the back, but I think as soon as I finish this back piece, I’m going to start on those ponchos, just to play it safe. I’m sure glad I got that Yarn Girls’ book, because it had exactly the poncho pattern I wanted. Now if I can only learn how to crochet for the finishing parts…..

I taught myself the single and reverse single crochet out of “teach yourself visually” — it was the same book I had used to get me started knitting. It took me frogging the crochet stitches out several times before it finally looked right.
I’ll see if I can get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow night. Wait, crap; i packed the tank top, so I can’t photo that.
Thanks– I’ll see when you unpack. No rush at this point…the crocheting, as you can guess, is the finishing touches, and I haven’t even started them yet!
