I got my book!
One of the things that I got for Mother’s Day, other than my Denise Needles (which are working out well so far, thank you very much), is that I got a gift certificate for Barnes & Noble. I wanted to get what seemed like a zillion knitting books, but decided to get one interior design book (a Trading Spaces book to add to my collection) and one knitting book. The book I chose was

The Yarn Girls’ Guide to Kid Knits
. Why a book on baby/toddler knits when my kid is already in regular kid sizes? Because I have a number of little cousin-nieces, and it looks like another is on the way, and I’m determined to use this new skill of knitting to knit something for JC’s cousin’s baby, among others. I was going through it today, and I’m glad I chose this book. It looks perfect for what I want to do, and not too difficult. Hooray! I still want the original Yarn Girls book, and a number of kid knit books by Zoe Mellor, and there’s another one that I found that was for kids knits where you could design any sweater you wanted your way, and it was actually easy to understand, so I wanted to get that for my projects for Drew. But I’m really liking the new book I got, and can’t wait to try it out.
